This is a fun take on the "egg in a hole" recipe, created by Veronica C. from SoCal. She says this is "the best breakfast for dinner any day of the week."
This recipe looks pretty fancy but was made simply with an egg kit, eggs and a slice of toast!
Ingredients
-
1Eatz Egg Kit - Qty 1
-
Water - 2 Tbsp.
-
Eggs - Qty 3
-
Butter - 1 Tbsp
-
1 Slice of Bread
Directions
Prepare
Empty the contents of the Egg Kit into a bowl.
Add 2 tbsp of water. Make sure to evenly mix the contents so that there are no clumps.
Crack 2 eggs into your egg kit mixture and whisk together. Let the egg mix sit for about a minute.
Prepare the bread by cutting a hole in the center of it.
Cook
Heat a skillet on medium high heat. Once hot, coat with butter.
Place the slice of bread (with a hole in the middle) into the skillet and reduce heat to medium.
Cook for about 2 minutes to toast the bread and then flip it over.
Pour the egg mixture over the bread and let it cook for about 3-4 minutes, covered.
Once the sides start to cook, gently crack the third egg into the middle of the hole.
Place a lid over the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the egg in the hole is cooked to your liking.
Recipe Note
Serving Suggestions:
- Serve this as is or with a sauce or condiment (hot sauce, salsa etc.) of your choice.
